5 Countries that are open to Travel for Americans

Recently, a huge effort has been made to allow individuals to travel to foreign countries. A lot of travel restrictions have been lifted to allow traveling to be more available. With the proof of a negative test no more than three days before flying, U.S. citizens will be granted the right to travel. With that information in mind, here are five European countries that are welcoming Americans for travel.

Greece

As of April 19, Greece has opened up the country for Americans. Before traveling to Greece it is required that you show proof of a PCR test no earlier than 3 days before your arrival date or proof of your vaccination of at least 14 days before arrival. Because Greece is still under lockdown, those that choose not to follow social distancing rules or failure to wear a mask will be subjected to fines.

Iceland

Beginning April 9, Iceland has welcomed Americans for travel. When arriving at the countries borders, you will be tested and then required to quarantine for 5 days. When leaving, you will be tested again. If you are vaccinated you will not be required to quarantine. If you have previously tested positive before arriving you will not be required to quarantine or be tested.

Serbia

Recently, Serbia opened up their country to American travelers with proof of a negative PCR test no more than 48 hours before traveling. You are required to wear a mask at all times even outside and practice social distancing between people that are not from the same household. Many bars and restaurants are open to outdoor dining with limited numbers. Most places are open until 10pm at the latest.

Ecuador

Americans that are vaccinated are welcomed into the Galapagos Islands. Starting on March 22, travelers that are fully vaccinated and have proof of their certificate are free to travel. Random tests will be still administered in an effort to keep the positive cases down. Anyone who tests positive will be required to isolate for 10 days.

Turks and Caicos

Borders are open to travelers that have been granted authentication to travel after being tested no earlier than 72 hours before arrival. You are required to get tested no earlier than 5 days before departure with proof of your health insurance. Travlers may also be subjected to random screening during their stay.
