Need a beautiful makeup look, but too afraid it might melt off? I am here to provide you with tips in order to make your makeup “meltproof.” No matter what the occasion is, it is important to take the necessary steps in order to maintain your gorgeous makeup look.

1.Sunscreen

It is so important to protect your skin. No makeup look is perfect without an even layer of sunscreen to begin. The sunscreen will act as a moisturizer while also doing its part to protect your skin from the sun. The sun’s harmful rays can cause longterm damage; therefore, this step is not only necessary for the present day but also long term.

2. Primer

Invest in a good primer! The purpose of primer is to ensure that your makeup look lasts. Primer is the base of all your makeup. Primer will create a smooth surface on your skin allowing your makeup to stick to it and not move throughout the day. If you get a primer with SPF in it that will lengthen the time that it stays on.

3. Apply products with a sponge

When using a sponge you tend to add more product to your face because of the past products that are already on it. By using a brush, you are lightly putting the makeup on your face instead of pressing it into your skin. The brush allows you to have a lighter finish.

4. Waterproof Mascara

Even if you're not going in the pool or ocean, it is important to use a waterproof mascara to prevent your mascara from running from sweat or humidity. Waterproof mascara is known to last longer than regular mascara.

5. Use a powder bronzer

The reason for using a powder bronzer over a cream bronzer is because it prevents you from having too many cream products move on your face. Powder bronzer is more likely not to move or sweat off. If you apply the bronzer to the high points of your face it will keep you looking the most natural and fresh.

6. Avoid too much shimmer

Adding an excessive amount of highlight to your skin can make you look shiny or sweaty in the sun. The sun will naturally give you a beautiful glow; therefore, the addition of extra shimmer and glitter is unnecessary.

7. Setting Powder

It is important to set your face with a lightweight powder to set your foundation or concealer. This will prevent your foundation from moving around your face. Avoid using a heavy powder as it will make you feels like you are wearing a lot of makeup.

8. Wear less makeup!

Although I gave you plenty of tips to prevent your makeup from sweating off or moving, there is still a probability that there will be some sort of movement of the products that are caused by the sun and heat. Easy fixes could be replacing your foundation with a tinted moisturizer or a concealer.
